i really like these capsule toys in the box now ,as its always different, either brand or characters, or theme,

CAPLICO PANDA,
Overtime we get one of these in a sub box they are different,
this one has white chocolate and crunchy cookie bites inside,
the icecream wafer is the standard waffle biscuit,

but a fun and good product.

GANKO AGE.
these are potato fries like we get in the UK chip sticks, these are long hard and really crunchy.these are naturally salted and a great pack so can be eaten anytime.

so the oyatsu box is a great  monthly box,we got a load of special limited editions this month,i still like this box a lot and it slightly differs from others,so i can't wait to see what April brings to us,
value for money is great again and not so easy to grab these snacks in the UK especially if you don't live near a city to go to the Asian supermarkets.

okashi connection march edition,

its that time when all my candy subscriptions all turn up in one week and i spend the following week eating my way through the boxes and reviewing with my taste tester son

               OKASHI CONNECTION.
this is a Japanese candy and snack subscription box that comes out every month and is shipped world wide for $22.00 .postage is included in the price,
shipped direct from Tokyo,it takes about 2 weeks to get to the UK.
once opened you go onto the members blog and there you will find out about all the products in the box.
the box contains about a pound or 450g weight of candy and snacks which focus on seasonal items rather than weird filler items.
OK so on opening the box i knew this subscription was going to be a keeper.

also this month i was invited to buy the add on ,these you go to a link and then you can purchase as many of the items  as you want, i passed this month as it was chocolate,
you can find okashi connection here okashi connection website
please add my referral code ljblog to the box when signing up thank you.

so what did we find in my box this month,

CALBEE SWEET POTATO CRISPS,
These sweet potato chips are a cross between a wotsit corn puff and a potato crisp, quite sweet in flavour but very tasty, this had a slight salty taste and like the company said varied to what your drinking at the time, it seemed to be less salty with a hot drink,

GARI BORI SPICY GARLIC RAMEN NOODLES.
these are not instant noodles where you add water ,these are crispy noodles eaten from the pack, quite heavy on the garlic and they are very crumbly, but great for an energy hit or for snacking while doing revision or watching films, an interesting concept but a really good and big hit in japan

EBI SEBEI CHIPS,
These are shrimp or prawn flavoured and really tasty, had them before ,very fishy but the intense flavour satisfies you for longer,a crispy snack.

PUKUPUKU TAI.
an aerated waffle biscuit filled with a dry aerated chocolate filling, these are great ,large and tasty and great with a hot drink to relax with.
these are sold with various fillings ,for instance red bean ,or cream cheese ,or black bean paste,

WATAPACHI MELON SODA.
this is a layer of cotton candy with a strong melon flavour ,quite refreshing and it has cracking popping candy mixed in, this needs to be eaten straight away as the air kills the cotton candy quick,

OYATSU BOX FEBRUARY.

its that time again and my first snack box of the month has landed in the UK,
the oyatsu box is based in japan  and started up last year after the staff at the oyatsu cafe decided to it was time to send some fun tot he rest of the world.
oyatsu box can be found here.WEBSITE.
each box contains over a pound of candy, snacks,Japanese  merch.
there are 2 types of box to subscribe too-
the full sized box 8-14 products for $25.00
the junior box 2-3 products for $7.99

MY BOX.

UNBOXED,

POCKY DEMITASSE.
a brand new flavour of pocky for 2015,this small box has cocoa sticks covered with dark rich luxury  chocolate.
these are limited edition and only available for a limited time in premium places.

these are quite strong and very rich in taste ,i like the texture and they still have that moreish biscuit love.

KABAYA PANDA COOKIES,
cue cute mini panda biscuits, crispy biscuits with a chocolate cream topping, kept fresh in a foil bag .
each biscuit has a different panda expression.

these never lasted long ,tasty panda cookies ,buttery and sweet with a chocolate  covering.

MEIGUM RAMUNE.
meigum is the Japanese leader of soft candy,
these are chewy sweet  bars ,with the iconic ramune soda flavours.

these are soft gummy bars that are so sweet but have the best flavours ,i love ramune soda,

NINJA MESHI. MOUNTAIN GRAPE
so we got a packet of ninja food ,ninja meshi is cool packaged candy, the ninja wears a suit and a tie ,Japanese call this salary man,
these candy are soft and chewy with a great grape flavour,

so these are like a flat jelly bean with a harder shell ,inside is a chewy softer centre that is quite sharp not sour but sharp,i happy its grape flavour as i loved these even more for that reason.

KOIKE POLINKI,SWEET CORN FLAVOUR.
OK so these are a real Japanese treat,, these triangle corn puffs are light and fluffy with a real sweetcorn flavour, the flavour has been refined over 3 decades to perfect the best yet,

right back in the 80's in the UK we have corn snacks called skips crisps, and they are prawn cocktail ,but back then they brought out a sweetcorn flavour, this reminds me of those crisps, the flavour is so good ,the crisps are crispy and crunchy and worthy of being put in such a large bag for one person to eat.

GASHAPON JAPANESE CAPSULE TOY,
a real capsule toy full of high quality real McCoy Japanese merchandise,
these machines are found all over japan, includes toys or stationary, accessories,
this month is a figure from one piece roronoa zoro,

CHOCO KINAKO MOCHI,
a traditional Japanese chewy candy, this DIY kit lets you make an instant version of the classic, each piece then can be covered in kinako(sweet soy bean flour),and chocolate.

SIMPLY follow the pictures on the back of the pack and its easy to do ,then simply eat,

PETIT MATCHA.
chocolate chip matcha cookies.this is a long tube with loads of mini cookies.21 actually, these are infused with matcha tea and chocolate chips,

these were not as strong as the chocolate is ,so the cookies were nice to eat,i crumbled the majority into a biscuit base though and made a chocolate mousse and poured it over , the matcha tea base went so well with the rich chocolate mousse,

NIGATA DEEP FRIED SENBEI,
deep fried rice crackers, with a hint of soy sauce,a traditional snack eastern all over japan.

these are slightly salty rice crackers ,but so crispy ,they were very tasty and Moorish,

PURE FRUIT GUMMY -YUZU ANS MIKAN,
Japanese gummies always taste of authentic fruits, the pure range is up there in the top3 brands for this reason.
yuzu and mikan are citrus and sour flavours, they taste like lemon and lime,

shaped like mini fruit segments these are sour but sweet and fragrant seem to over ride the sourness ,these are very soft gummies that melt away in the mouth, very sugary on the outside,

MAGICAL TWIN POP COMBO GUMMY,
with over 11 flavours to discover these candies are a great way to play and make flavours up.
all can be combined to invent new flavours,
eating a lemon and a grape gummy will give you a cola gummy,

I really had fun testing these out and no other way to pass the time while getting a long tattoo done is by inventing new flavours to keep you going,
i had some real funny flavours but they all worked in one way or another,

so overall i really liked the products in this box ,it felt nice and jam packed with goodies .11 products in total ,and me and my son enjoyed eating these ,for value for money shipped to your door ,it works out cheaper for me in the UK.we get a good range of products every month, sometimes it candy orientated others is savoury snack, ,generally its a mix of the two that makes a good all round box,

check back my previous reviews on boxes and i will see you next month for the march review,
